On June 12, a report-election Conference of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of workers of Entrepreneurship, Private Science and light industry was held.
Before the conference, chairman of the Republican Committee of Trade Union of Entrepreneurship, Private Science and light industry workers Mirkazim Abasov and representatives of the event paid tribute to the memory of great leader Heydar Aliyev in the alley of Honor and laid flowers at his grave.
In accordance with the regulations, the Presidium of the conference, the composition of the editorial, mandate and calculating commissions and members of the Secretariat were elected and approved daily.
The speech of the chairman Mirkazym Abasov was heard regarding the report of the work done by the Republican Committee of Entrepreneurship, Private Science and Light Industry Workers Trade Union in the past period. He noted that various methods and means, forms and methods were widely used to attract new members: “Trade union organizations were established in 83 companies in the private sector in the last 6 years. After the VII Plenum, 24 more companies were added to this list. Currently, 1,422 first trade unions are organized around the Republican Committee. These organizations include 28,133 trade union members. There are 49 cities and districts, 3 combined trade union committees in the service area. “10 meetings of the Plenum of the Republican Committee and 29 meetings of the Presidium were held.”
The chairman said that one of our main tasks is the improvement of working conditions in enterprises and organizations, the organization of safe Labor and the Prevention of industrial accidents: “we have managed to achieve certain successes in this area. The fact that several enterprises in our service are among the winners of the Republican competition held by ATUC under the motto “the best enterprise (organization) of the year for the creation of healthy and safe working conditions” is the best proof of my opinion. In the reporting years, the Republican Committee has given a wide place to legal propaganda in member enterprises and organizations, the observance of legal norms by employees and employers in labor relations, and more awareness of entrepreneurs in legal terms were kept in the center of attention.”
After the speech, discussions were held around the report, the organization’s activities were considered satisfactory and approved.
The organizational issue was also considered at the conference. Mirkazim Abasov was re-elected chairman of the Republican Committee, and Mehman Farzaliyev was elected deputy chairman.
Mirkazim Abasov thanked the participants of the conference who trusted him and stressed that he would continue to work more diligently in the direction of effective activity of the organization headed by him, protection of labor rights of union members, creation of working conditions in accordance with the norms for them, Organization of their rest and protection of their health.
At the event, ATUC Secretary-Chief of Staff Hasan Jafarov wished the Republican Committee success in its future activities and voiced a number of recommendations.
