On June 30, in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the “Summer school” with the participation of 45 children from a special category was completed under the joint organization of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children’s Problems of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Council of Trade Unions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Speaking at the event organized at Agbulag Recreation Center, Head of Department of Nakhchivan Trade Unions Council – Press Secretary Gunel Nur said that the purpose of supporting such projects by the Council is to effectively spend free time of children, reveal their skills, and instill a healthy lifestyle in them. He congratulated the participants and wished them success in their summer holidays.
Then, the department head of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Problems of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Konul Babayeva, emphasized that the implementation of such a project during the summer holidays plays an important role in revealing the talents of intellectual and active children in addition to creating quality educational opportunities for children and organizing their entertainment.
At the event, 17 children and 3 volunteers who won various fun competitions and were distinguished by their activity in the “Summer School” were awarded honorary degrees by the organizers.
Note that the summer school lasted 3 days. During this period, an excursion to Agbulag village, a concert, screening of films on the theme of patriotism, sports competitions, intellectual games, educational seminars, book reading hours and fun hours were organized for children.
