The next meeting of the Council of International Trade Unions Confederation of Oil and Gas Construction Workers was held in Baku

On May 21, a meeting of the Council of International Trade Unions Confederation of oil and gas construction workers was held in Baku.

The event was attended by members of the council from Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The council discussed the socio-economic situation in the oil and gas producing countries, as well as the report of the work done by the International Confederation of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Construction Workers over the past period and determined the work to be done in the current year.

It should be noted that the International Trade Unions Confederation of Oil and Gas Construction Workers was established on March 18, 1992. The main tasks of the Confederation are the solution of issues of development of industrial trade unions in the CIS countries in new political and economic conditions, the exchange of best experience in various fields of activity, the development of methodological materials for trade unions, the development and presentation of their consolidated positions on global trade union and public political platforms.

The International Confederation of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Construction Workers unites sectoral trade unions representing the interests of more than 1.5 million workers from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

All member organizations of the Confederation interact with the sectoral trade unions of many countries of the world.

Chairman of the Republican Committee of Trade Union of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry of Azerbaijan Jahangir Aliyev is the vice-president of Confederation of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Construction Workers.
