Report-election meetings were held in the trade union committees of Ganja, Mingachevir, Sumgayit city, Baku City Executive Greening Management Union and “Azeristiliktehizat” OJSC of Local Industrial and Utility Workers.
During the meetings, the committee chairmen discussed timely payment of salaries of employees working in offices and enterprises during 2017-2024, provision of overtime payments on holidays, provision of necessary services to those working in harmful jobs, timely provision of vacations, efficient organization of working hours, conclusion of labor contracts, reports on the organization of daily normal work, protection of people’s social economic rights and gender equality were given and considered satisfactory.
Elections were also held at the meetings, and the new composition of the committees was formed. Jale Osmanova Ganja, Abdul Aliyev Mingachevir, Tarana Ibrahimova have been approved for the positions of chairpersons of Sumgayit city trade union committees. Also, Zenfira Huseynova was elected the chairman of the Baku City Executive Greening Farming Association, and Elnur Rasulov was elected the chairman of the trade union committee “Azeristiliktehizat” OJSC. Ali Jafarov and Rauf Hajiyev, representatives of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC), who participated in the events, highly valued the reports and considered the elections to be fair. They also voiced a number of tasks and recommendations related to the activities of trade unions.
