The final concert of the artistic creation competition-festival dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held among the students of higher educational institutions by the joint decision of the Ministry of Science and Education and the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers (ATIAHI RK).
Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Science and Education Elnur Aliyev, heads of higher education institutions, students and other guests took part in the event.
First, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
At the event, the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s unparalleled work in the life of our republic in the 70s of the last century, including his services in the development of agriculture and industry, his attention to science and education, the sending of the Union of Azerbaijani students to study at prestigious higher education institutions, the opening of a military high school in Baku, literature and care for artists, as well as the formation of an independent Azerbaijan.
Then, at the concert, various music and dance numbers and poems were performed by students of higher educational institutions.
A total of 26 higher education institutions across the country participated in the artistic creativity competition-festival.
It should be noted that the festival of artistic creativity organized on the occasion of the anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth has been held every year since 2004. The goal of the project is to educate students in the spirit of national patriotism, respect for our culture, art, and national traditions, and to raise their artistic and aesthetic level. The festival also aims to help the formation of students’ cultural lifestyle, reveal talented young people in different art forms of our art and culture, and support the development of their abilities. At the same time, the holding of the festival was aimed at the efficient and meaningful organization of the students’ free time by the student union committees and the prevention of the student youth’s tendency to negative situations that are not accepted by the society.
