Plenum of Trade Union Federation of Metal Workers of Azerbaijan was held.
First, the memory of the founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, great leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with deep respect.
The organizational issue on the agenda was considered at the event.
Thus, new elections were held in connection with the departure of the chairman of the Federation Bekir Yusifov from his post on his own application.
Fazail Bagirov was unanimously elected chairman of the Plenum by open vote of the Plenum participants.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mohbaliyev touched on the long-term activity of F. Bagirov in the ranks of trade unions, noted his services and welcomed the decision of the plenum.
ATUC chairman also gave a number of instructions and recommendations on protection of labour rights of union members, creation of decent working conditions for them, protection of their health and organization of recreation, as well as priority issues facing trade unions.
