DOST Agency Supervisory Board Meeting held

The next meeting of the Supervisory Board of the sustainable and operational Social Security Agency (DOST agency) was held.

Member of the Council, chairman of the  Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev also attended the meeting.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Minister of labour and social protection of population Sahil Babayev said in his speech that work is underway to expand the network of regional DOST centers throughout the country. At the same time, along with these centers, friendly branches are also established in the surrounding regions.

According to the decree of President Ilham Aliyev, after may 2019, 7 DOST centers have already been opened, 2.2 million people have been served in these centers over the past period, and the level of citizen satisfaction with these services is 98.2 percent.

It was emphasized that the DOST concept, initiated by first vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva, allows 159 services in social areas to be rendered from “one window”, on an operational, transparent, modern, innovative basis. It was noted that projects, repair and construction works are underway to build friendly infrastructure in Nakhchivan, Shusha, Guba, Sabirabad, Sumgayit, ganja and Masalli.

The DOST model, an example of Azerbaijan’s successful social reform, is highly appreciated at the international level, and the DOST agency has been awarded many international awards and certificates over the past period.

It was also noted that at present many countries are interested in applying the experience of friends, and relevant work is being done to Share our experience with them in this area.

At the meeting, chairman of the board of Directors of DOST Agency Farid Mammadov made a presentation on the activities of the agency, including DOST services rendered to the population in the first quarter of 2024, the implementation of the Strategic Plan of the agency for 2023-2026.

At the meeting of the Supervisory Board, issues related to the activities of the DOST agency, as well as the work carried out towards strategic goals on the DOST concept and the upcoming tasks were discussed.
