Relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia are expanding with new shades of quality

“Relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia have always been at a high level, and relations have developed dynamically, covering all areas. And these relations have deep roots, our peoples have historically lived in friendly and friendly conditions. Today, these two countries, which are friendly neighbors and friends, are strategic partners at the same time.  We can say with confidence that our relations are at a level that will serve as a great example for all neighboring states.”

Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev said in his statement to the mass media.

According to him, our states located in a significant geographical area, using this opportunity effectively, are implementing successful projects for the comprehensive development of the region in general: “we can cite large-scale global energy, as well as transport and communication projects as an example. Georgia’s transit capabilities are extremely important for the transportation of Azerbaijan’s energy resources, as well as other cargo. The experience of the past years and the work done in this direction prove it once again. Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, etc. the projects have opened great opportunities for peace and stability in the region, deepening friendly relations between the countries of the region and economic progress.”

“The visit of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to our country immediately after the start of his post is a sign of the importance he attaches to relations with Azerbaijan, adhering to tradition. And this visit, of course, will have an important impact on the further development of our relations, deepening cooperation in areas of particular importance and mutual interest, and will be useful in terms of reconciling economic interests and improving the system of economic and political relations between our countries. In his statement to the press, President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Georgia are working on new projects in the field of green energy. We believe that both countries with great potential in this area will have beneficial cooperation, successfully implement the joint projects they have launched, and strengthen cooperation in the aspect of new challenges,” the chairman of ATUC said.
