“Novruz is the most dear holiday of our people. This holiday has stood the test of years and, despite the pressure and prohibitions, has retained its value. No matter how happy we were in Novruz, which was celebrated with great desire and pomp by our people for many years, the longing for Karabakh did not leave us alone. Every time we wished to celebrate the next holiday in Shusha, in our other occupied lands. This was the sacred dream of every Azerbaijani from child to adult. “The day will be the day when we will spend Novruz holiday once in Shusha, the other year in Lachin, the other year in Kalbajar, Agdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli. I am sure that this will be the case,” the Great Leader said with farsightedness, describing today’s day. Our dreams have been fulfilled for several years now. It was the wisdom of Heydar Aliyev’s ideas, the strength of his political course, the high management skills and military ability of his worthy successor Mr. Ilham Aliyev that returned us to our lands.”
Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mohbaliyev said in his statement to mass media.
“Life has already returned to Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh. Residents welcome Novruz in their ancestral homes and houses built for them by our state. When we see the Novruz bonfire burning in our Karabakh, the heart of each of us is filled with a feeling of joy, because we lived with this longing for many years. We cannot forget our martyrs, they put an end to this longing at the cost of their lives. At the same time, the service of our veterans and all participants of the war to the motherland will not be erased from the hearts of our people. They valiantly, with honor and dignity fulfilled the biggest and most difficult mission before our state and people. Therefore, they are the most respected and dear members of our society. In addition, the parents of martyrs, their children… our state supports them in every possible way, and I would even say that there is no other state in the world that cares about the families of martyrs as highly as the state of Azerbaijan. Of course, this is due to the essence of the management philosophy of the head of our country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, his deep love for our people,” said the chairman of the ATUC.
“For the fourth year now, our respected President has kept the Novruz bonfire in our lands freed from occupation and congratulated our people from there. This time Mr. Ilham Aliyev congratulated us from Khankendi. Fulfilling all the wishes and desires of our people, our President announced another good news from there – the former internally displaced persons will return to Khankendi this year. For many years, the separatists used all means to make this city their own, they tried to separate the city from its national roots and change its identity by false means. They even believed their lies and fabrications themselves. They believed that those territories and cities were theirs. But our President Mr. Ilham Aliyev destroyed all their invasion plans, brought separatist leaders and those who decided to target peaceful Azerbaijanis to Baku. The architects of the main administrative buildings in the city are Azerbaijanis. Of course, all this is the result of President Ilham Aliyev’s high management qualities, great diplomatic skills, determination and perseverance in his goals, and his endless love for his people and state,” added the deputy of the Milli Majlis.
