“I heartily congratulate all the women of our country, including the women represented in the ranks of the trade unions, on the occasion of March 8 – International Women’s Day, and convey my best wishes.
Based on national values and traditions, deep respect has always been shown to women in our society, and the name Mother has been sacred. On every page of our glorious history, it is possible to find their services, heroism, their contributions to the development of our statehood, the wisdom of their children, and the patriotism of their sons and daughters. They have rendered exceptional services in the development of our literature, culture, art, and language. The Azerbaijani woman, who is known for her struggle, actively participates in the social, political and cultural life of the country, and shows selflessness in the defense of the Motherland and the management of the state, spoke her word on the battlefields. Our mothers like Tomris, Mahsati, Sara Khatun, Hajar, Natavan raised the glory of Azerbaijani women and became an example for future generations. Today, the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has formed a positive image of the Azerbaijani woman with her rich activities. He represents Azerbaijan with dignity in the whole world with his noble and humane deeds, which he has done not only in our country, but also at the world level. Her achievements at the international level are also the success of an Azerbaijani woman.
Both in the first Karabakh War and in the Patriotic War, the Azerbaijani woman demonstrated self-sacrifice and courage. It was their heroic sons, brought up in the spirit of patriotism, who became the main guarantor of our victory. Mothers who, with a desire for victory, sent their children to liberate our occupied lands, exalted the feeling of the motherland above all else. They even stood bravely in front of the funeral of the martyr Cubs, did not break.
Once again, I sincerely congratulate the mothers and wives of martyrs, the wives of our veterans, the mothers of soldiers and all the women of Azerbaijan on this remarkable day, and wish them even more happy and prosperous life and Happy Days.
