A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions (ATUC) in the field of assistance in organizing self-employment of vulnerable population groups.
The document was signed by Sahil Babayev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and Sattar Mohbaliyev, Chairman of ATUC, Member of Milli Majlis.
The memorandum aims to ensure more active participation of vulnerable population groups in the socio-economic development of our country, to organize self-employment of persons with disabilities, low-income families, internally displaced persons, including citizens who immigrated to Karabakh, as well as unemployed persons who own land suitable for agriculture and are jobseekers without other employment. providing assistance and creating additional opportunities in this direction, as well as supporting the activities of farms based on family labor, stimulating the development of micro, small and medium entrepreneurship, as well as providing support for the initiative of sharing social responsibility.
In accordance with the memorandum, financial resources in the amount of 300,000 manats were allocated by ATUC on a voluntary basis for relevant expenses.
It should be noted that before this, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ATUC in the field of providing assistance to the development of entrepreneurship for socially vulnerable population groups, and a certain amount of funds was allocated accordingly.
It should be noted that ATUC constantly keeps vulnerable groups of the population in mind, supports them financially and morally, and assists them in self-employment.
