According to the results of the winter examination session of the 2023/2024 academic year, high school students will be awarded a scholarship of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan and will be awarded the title “What? Where? When?”a ceremony of awarding students who won the intellectual game was held. The event was attended by chairmen of student Trade Unions of higher schools and students.
Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev said in his speech at the event that the scholarship of AEWFTU RC was established in 1995: “so far, 2914 students have benefited from this scholarship. Today, 65 more students will be awarded this scholarship. The purpose of the scholarship is to increase students ‘ interest in science and education and support the successful youth policy implemented in Azerbaijan. The main direction of activity of the Republican Committee is youth. Every year, important measures are taken to improve their social situation, develop sports among students, reveal talented young people, increase their interest in science and education, and educate them in the spirit of respect for national and moral values. Our goal in doing this work is to effectively spend the leisure time of young people, to remove them from harmful habits, to support the youth policy of our state.”
According to him, consistent and systematic measures are being taken in Azerbaijan to grow young people in a healthy spirit and grow up as worthy citizens: “our esteemed president uses all opportunities for the comprehensive development of our youth. The steps taken in relation to young people over the past 20 years are clear evidence of this. We believe that Azerbaijan’s youth policy will continue to be successfully continued, and our youth will unite closely around our president and make a worthy contribution to the development of our country.”
At the end, 65 students were awarded a scholarship of AEWFTU RC, and 18 winners of the intellectual game were awarded diplomas and money prizes.
