Fuad Mammadov, Chairman of the Union of Trade Unions of Agricultural Field Workers, met with the staff of the Veterinary Scientific Research Institute.
At the meeting, they talked about the work done by the trade unions in the direction of protecting labor rights, the projects they implemented, as well as the steps they took to organize the rest of the members, restore and protect their health. The chairman of the union, Fuad Mammadov, said that the protection of labor, socio-economic rights and legal interests of our members is the main function of trade unions. According to him, trade unions support the organization of national and state holidays, cultural-mass events, anniversaries of advanced workers in member organizations.
Congratulating all the young employees of the collective on the occasion of the Azerbaijan Youth Day, February 2, the Chairman of the Union spoke about the attention and concern of our country for the youth. He emphasized that with National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s return to power in 1993, paying attention to the young generation became one of the priority areas of state policy: “Many documents signed by the Great Leader regarding youth created conditions for more active participation of young people in the social and political life of the republic, youth policy has determined its goals, principles and directions, as well as its organizational and legal bases.
By the Decree signed by Heydar Aliyev on February 2, 1997, February 2 was announced as Azerbaijan Youth Day. “Since that time, Youth Day has been solemnly celebrated in Azerbaijan for the first time in the CIS and Eastern European countries.”
“President Ilham Aliyev has always paid attention to the upbringing of young people as patriotic and educated personnel, and to the improvement of the social status of young families. Within the implementation of the strategy of turning “black gold” into human capital, the involvement of young people in advanced foreign education programs was organized. Today, young people, who make up the majority of our society, play a very important role in the life of our country. The initiatives of the young generation and their work are visible everywhere today. Azerbaijani youth live in a free and stable country,” added Fuad Mammadov.
In her speech, the director of the institute, Siyala Rustamova, highly appreciated the work of the trade unions, especially the work she had done recently.
In the end, the chairman of the trade union of the Institute, Eldar Kosayev, was awarded with an honorary decree of the Union for his effective work and on the occasion of his 70th anniversary.
