A meeting dedicated to the results of 2023 and upcoming tasks was held in the Council of Trade Unions of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The chairman of the council, Gazanfar Abdullayev, gave detailed information about the work done last year and the implemented projects. He said that Aghbulag Recreation Center, Ski Center located in Aghbulag, Julfa region “Daridagh Arsenic Water Treatment Center” LLC and Daridag Arsenic Water and Treatment Recreation Complex were included in the Council. Also, the Council provided financial support to 540 people, sent gifts to 7,700 low-income families, 215 people, including 13 members of martyrs’ families and 11 veterans, were received, their appeals were heard and their issues were resolved.
Nusreddin Asadov, head of the Council’s General Affairs Department, noted that in 2023, the Office and its member organizations received a total of 449 applications and complaints. 43 of them were related to the protection of labor rights, 29 were related to the work of trade unions, and 377 were related to financial assistance and referrals.
Then, speeches were heard by Ulviyya Novruzova, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Committee of State and Municipal Administration Employees Trade Union, Garanfil Jamiyeva, Chairman of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Committee of Education Workers Trade Union, Mahir Shikhaliyev, Chairman of the Ordubad District United Trade Union Committee, and Vahid Muradov, Chairman of the Julfa District United Trade Union Committee.
At the meeting, there were also detailed discussions about existing shortcomings and ways to solve them, measures to be implemented during the current year and upcoming tasks, opinions and suggestions were voiced.
