On December 15, the XII Assembly of the Republican Committee of the Workers’ Union of Oil and Gas Industry of Azerbaijan was held.
The Assembly was opened by the Chairman of the Republican Committee, Jahangir Aliyev. After commemorating the memory of the martyrs, the agenda of the Assembly was approved. J. Aliyev spoke about the activities of the Republican Committee and the successes achieved by Azerbaijan. He noted that in the last 20 years, thanks to the wise leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the economy of our country has taken the path of irreversible development. Azerbaijan has become the leading state of the South Caucasus in all fields. Referring to the extraordinary presidential elections on February 7, 2024, the chairman said that this timely decision will be a celebration of democracy in our country. It is well known to everyone that whatever the President promised to the people, he fulfilled all of them with high professionalism and made his dreams come true. We are sure that with his leadership, our state and people will have brighter tomorrows and a brighter future. Like all our people, we oilmen are always grateful to the victorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev and we believe that our people will vote for progress and stability in these elections and support Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
C.Aliyev spoke about the importance of the VI Congress of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC).Wishing success to the work of the Congress, he urged the members of the Assembly to support the re-election of Sattar Mohbaliyev as the Chairman of the Trade Union in the Congress, taking into account his unparalleled services in the trade union movement, his efforts in raising the reputation of colleagues, as well as the proposals received from the member organizations that are part of the structure of the Field Trade Union.
Deputy Chairman of ATUC Javanshir Alkhasov, who attended the event, wished success to the activities of the Assembly. C.Alkhasov knew that the Trade Union of Turkic states was established in Ankara, Turkey, and Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of ATUC, MP, was elected the first vice-president. He noted that, at the meeting of the Pan European Regional Council held in Brussels, the next election of ATUC chairman Sattar Mohbaliyev as vice-president of this organization is a clear example of international trust, trust and high appreciation for the activities of Azerbaijani trade unions.
