ATUC chairman Sattar Mohbaliyev participates in the “Return to West Azerbaijan” festival and the “Road to return to West Azerbaijan” congress in Nakhchivan

Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), member of the Milli Majlis, is also participating in the festival-congress jointly organized by the Authorized Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State University of Nakhchivan and the West Azerbaijan Community.

The participants of the event first visited the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s monument in the main square of Nakhchivan, laid flowers in front of it and paid their respects to his memory.

Visitors to the Heydar Aliyev Museum were informed about the exhibits that talk about the rich, multifaceted political heritage and meaningful life path of the outstanding statesman.Then, the opening event of the “Return to West Azerbaijan” festival and the “Road to return to West Azerbaijan” congress was held at the Nakhchivan State National Drama Theater.

At the event, the dear memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and those who were martyred for our territorial integrity were commemorated with a 1-minute silence, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. Then, a composition and a video clip of folklore samples belonging to Western Azerbaijan were shown.

Fuad Najafli, authorized representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev, Chairman of the Management Board of the West Azerbaijan Community, MP Aziz Alakbarli, Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva, West Azerbaijan The speeches of the member of the Board of Directors of the community were heard at the event. The festival-congress continued with the artistic part.
