Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Gudratulla Rafigov sent a congratulatory letter to the chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev on the occasion of October 18 – the day of restoration of Independence.
The letter reads:

On behalf of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and myself, I heartily congratulate you and all trade union members of your country on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of Independence of Azerbaijan!
Under your wise leadership, the trade unions of Azerbaijan have become a powerful and reliable force protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees. The Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan has gained unique experience in its multifaceted activities in the direction of socio-economic development of your country, observance of labor rights of employees and creation of decent working conditions for them.
I would like to note with deep satisfaction that in recent years, the brotherly relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have risen to a new, higher level and become of strategic importance. The very effective results of the last state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Azerbaijan confirmed this once again.
