Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mohbaliyev met with Ms. Kristina Stokfish, advisor on Gender equality of the German Trade Unions Confederation, who is on a visit to our country.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany and spoke about the work done to expand the relations.
Speaking about the activities of ATUC, Sattar Mohbaliyev informed the guest about the history of the organization, its activities and projects implemented. Referring to the gender policy of the trade unions of Azerbaijan, the chairman of the Confederation brought to the attention of the German guest statistical indicators. Sattar Mohbaliyev also touched upon the cooperation between the Confederation of Trade Unions of Germany and ATUC within the pan European Regional Council and spoke about the importance of German experience in the field of trade unions.
Expressing her gratitude for the warm meeting, Ms. Kristina Stokfish said that she was visiting Azerbaijan for the first time and said that the beauty of Baku and the hospitality of the people made good impressions on her. He stressed that effective gender policy of ATUC is a great experience for them, 52.3 percent of your ranks are women. He noted that Germany is also working hard to increase the number of women in trade unions.
The sides also exchanged views on issues of interest and presented mutual gifts.
