The newly renovated building of “Shikh” sanatorium was opened

On June 5, the 75-bed building of the “Shikh” sanatorium of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) was opened.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of ATUC Sattar Mohbaliyev, deputies – Musa Guliyev and Arzu Nagiyev, as well as heads of AHIK member organizations.

It was reported that IDPs from the city of Shusha settled in the corps. After they were provided with new apartments by our state, the repair work was started in the building. Currently, the building has been restored in accordance with modern requirements and reconstruction works have been carried out.

It was reported that a fifth floor was added to the four-story dormitory building. The building has 44 rooms with a total of 75 beds. 3 of them are luxury category, 13 are for one person, and 28 are for two people. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, safe, hairdryer and bathrobes. In addition, an additional dining hall was built. The presentation of food here is based on the “Swedish table” principle.

A large swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna and relaxation rooms have been built in the basement of the building for SPA procedures. Also, a modern bath department consisting of nine baths was created, and an area for sunbathing was prepared on the roof of the department. Flowers, decorative bushes and trees are planted around the building.

The chairman of ATUC toured the territory of the building and inspected the medical center, treatment and living rooms, dining room and kitchen, which were completely renovated. Sattar Mohbaliyev also visited the newly built swimming pool, bath department, SPA center and canteen, and was interested in the conditions created for the treatment and relaxation of patients.

The chairman of the confederation gave recommendations and tasks to the management of the sanatorium to raise the services to a higher level and to solve any problems that arise as soon as possible.

It should be noted that patients are examined as soon as they arrive at the “Shikh” sanatorium, which has a positive effect on the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and remain under medical supervision for the next 15 days. The services of the sanatorium include naphthalene therapy, paraffin therapy and treatment with natural mud. The treatment base here consists of a clinical-diagnostic laboratory, functional diagnostics, therapeutic physical education, massage, and medical offices of various profiles. In the sanatorium, balneological treatment methods such as underwater shower-massage, underwater stretching (hydrotraction) in specially equipped pools, and treatment of lower limb joints using a bicycle trainer are applied. There is a comfortable restaurant that offers various dishes of national and European cuisines. A diet menu is also provided in the nutrition mode.
