On the occasion of June 1 – International Children’s day, the state Customs Committee, with the support of the Trade Union of Customs workers, organized a festival “children are our future” for children in Zira Cultural Center – Eco Park.Speaking at the event, the chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant General of the Customs Service Shahin Bagirov said that the foundation of the state policy in Azerbaijan, which serves to ensure the Healthy, Happy growth of children and comprehensive state care, was laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev and is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that under the leadership of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation implements various programs for children to grow up in a healthy and patriotic spirit, to receive education and upbringing in accordance with modern standards, and to grow up as educated and knowledgeable citizens. Customs Service Lieutenant General Shahin Bagirov expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan Customs Workers Trade Union for their support.
Within the framework of the Festival, entertainment programs, face art, food and drink packages, photobuz, trampolines, various kinds of gifts were presented. Also, the children planted trees and flowers on the territory of the Eco-Park and prepared various handicrafts to demonstrate their skills. In addition, intellectual, musical entertaining games with the participation of cartoon characters and fairy-tale characters were organized for children. The organization of events and the issuance of gifts included not only the customs authorities belonging to the territory of Baku, but also the children of territorial customs officers.
At the same time, children’s homes located in Baku and Nakhchivan were visited, gifts were given and fun programs were organized.
