The 28th Congress of the International Union of Food, Agriculture, Tobacco Industry and Related Field Workers (IUF) was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The congress was attended by representatives of 202 member organizations from 85 countries, including guests from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and other countries. At the event, our country was represented by Rufat Burjaliyev, Head of Office of “Kand-Gida-Ish” Trade Union Federation – Head of Organization and Instructional Department.
The agenda of the congress includes the report of the work done during the past period, additions and changes to the Charter of the institution, and organizational issues. At the event, a broad discussion of the issues on the agenda was held, opinions and suggestions were heard, and relevant decisions were made.
