“For many years, our country has been hosting regional and international events with high professionalism, and is known as a place where economic, political, scientific, humanitarian issues and complex processes are discussed. Also, Azerbaijan is an example of a country where world-scale sports competitions are held with high organization and is appreciated by the international community. This is an indicator of the all-round rapid development of our country and the political stability established here. Again, our beautiful and majestic Baku is welcoming, Baku Energy Week, the most prestigious event in the region’s oil, gas and energy sector, is held in our capital. In this framework, the 28th International “Caspian Oil & Gas” and the 11th Caspian International Energy and Green Energy – “Caspian Power” exhibitions were opened. If last year 249 companies from 30 countries participated in the exhibitions, this time 331 companies from 38 countries are participating. This shows that the international interest in the event is increasing year by year and its increasing importance.”
Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.
“The fact that our head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, personally gets acquainted with the exhibitions every year, speaks there, meets with high-ranking guests, statesmen and international energy experts increases the status of the event even more. Also, the letter of US President Joseph Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to President Ilham Aliyev in this regard is a manifestation of the highest level of attention to Baku Energy Week. From the opinions expressed in both letters, it is once again clear that Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries in solving the most pressing and worrying issues of the world. The importance of the oil and gas projects implemented by him is obvious today and is favorable for the whole world.
It also proves that the development of the world’s energy market and the realization of new projects in this field can only take place with the support of Azerbaijan. Everyone is aware that Azerbaijan is a reliable partner, words and deeds match,” said the chairman of the ATUC.
“In his speech, the head of state announced the upcoming tasks. Azerbaijan aims to increase gas supply to the European market to 12 billion cubic meters this year, and by 2027 it will reach 20 billion cubic meters. Of course, this will further increase the economic power of our country and expand its financial capabilities.
