“The increasing influence of Azerbaijan in the world is obvious. This is an axiom that everyone acknowledges. Regardless of the subject of discussion, Azerbaijan participates in the meetings of regional and international organizations as a member or as a guest, the valuable opinions of our head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev are listened to with interest, and his initiatives are supported at a high level. The fact that our President was invited to the Summit meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council as a guest, welcomed and presented with respect is a continuation of these successes and a direct indicator of our state’s leadership in the region.
Speaking at the meeting, the head of state brought to the attention of the participants Azerbaijan’s achievements, economic power, implemented projects and their successful results, as well as valuable initiatives, and revealed the potential of our country and its importance for the world. And it proved that Azerbaijan does not depend on anyone in any field, it is a completely free and independent state.”
Sattar Mohbaliyev,chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.
“Azerbaijan pursues a balanced policy based on its strategic interests, supports peace and security in the world, prefers mutually beneficial cooperation with every state based on equal principles. Apart from Armenia, Azerbaijan has close bilateral relations with other Eurasian Economic Union member countries. The trade turnover with those countries is close to 5 billion dollars, and this indicator is increasing year by year.
What increases the importance of Azerbaijan for the regional states is its favorable geographical position, its location on international and regional transport corridors, the breadth of its logistics capabilities, efficient organization and reliable provision of transit cargo transportation. As the head of state stated, today our country has the largest commercial fleet in the Caspian Sea, and we also have the largest air cargo fleet in the region. Also, there is a shipyard in Azerbaijan that can manufacture all types of ships, and it is even ready to accept orders from neighboring countries. All these are facts that confirm the regional advantages of our country”, Sattar Mohbaliyev said.
The chairman of the ATUC said that at the meeting, the head of State, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, with his deep diplomatic knowledge and weighty arguments, adequately responded to the senseless remarks made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, putting him in a position of helplessness: “Pashinyan is still skeptical about the opening of the zangazur corridor, but he forgets that President Ilham Aliyev This has already been repeatedly confirmed by Armenia and recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Therefore, Pashinyan’s zeal for the zangazur corridor is useless, the reality created by Azerbaijan is unchanged. Armenia cannot afford it.
As for Pashinyan’s slanders about Lachin’s path, he received a worthy response. “President Ilham Aliyev overturned Pashinyan’s claims by bringing the real truth to the attention of the participants.”
