A group of employees of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan was presented the “30th Anniversary badge of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan”. Speaking at the event, First Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee Humbat Nagiyev congratulated the winners on behalf of ATUC chairman, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev.
Speaking about the establishment and historical development path of trade union movement in Azerbaijan, the work done by the organization on protection of labour, social, economic rights and legal interests of trade union members.Nagiyev noted that the democratic environment created in Azerbaijan, the high attitude to human rights and freedoms, the high support to the development of civil society open up wide opportunities for the free and independent activity of ATUC. Trade unions today, as defenders of the rights of citizens, carry out consistent and purposeful activities in the field of solving social problems and ensuring labor rights. Also, active work is carried out in the direction of regulation of Labor Relations, protection of labor rights of Employees, Organization of their social protection, leisure time, establishment of labor relations between heads of enterprises and employees in a normal course, elimination of possible contradictions, protection of legitimate interests of employees.
