“Today, in parallel with East Zangezur and Karabakh, significant work is being done in other regions of our country, improving the quality of communal services, implementing large social infrastructure projects, and also creating new enterprises and jobs. The head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the first lady Mehriban Aliyeva personally participate in the opening of infrastructure facilities and foundation laying ceremonies, get acquainted with production enterprises, and give relevant instructions. The recent visits of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva to Neftchala and Salyan regions were fruitful in this regard, they inaugurated enterprises and facilities, infrastructure projects, and got acquainted with the created conditions. All the works will directly increase the employment of the residents, improve their well-being, improve the social situation, in short, the comprehensive development of those regions.
Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.
“President Ilham Aliyev spoke about a number of important points during his interview with Azerbaijan Television in Salyan. Restoration of Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh is one of the main issues of our state. At present, construction works are being carried out systematically and consistently in those areas. The main goal is for residents to quickly return to their ancestral home, settle there and live happily. For this, our state takes all necessary steps. We can also proudly say that residents have returned to the villages of Agali and Talish, and the conditions created there are obvious. We believe that all our territories freed from occupation will be restored in this way under the wise leadership of our head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the residents will be resettled,” said the chairman of AHIK.
“In his interview, the President also touched on the issue of military expenses. We know that the Azerbaijani Army, which won a great victory, is getting stronger day by day. Various types of military equipment, armored vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, firearms are produced in our country due to the dynamically developing military industry.
Our Army is significantly equipped with military products produced in our own factories. Also, by signing agreements with a number of countries, military cooperation relations are expanded, weapons and military equipment are purchased. This once again shows that the power of our Army is constantly increasing. Of course, the geography in which Azerbaijan is located is quite complex, interests collide. For this reason, it is the main condition that the Azerbaijani Army should be even stronger,” the deputy of the Milli Majlis emphasized.
“On the issue of peace negotiations with Armenia, our head of state clearly stated that “Armenia, which has shown its readiness for a peace treaty based on the Alma-Ata Declaration, should now officially declare that Karabakh is Azerbaijan.” In my opinion, this proposal of our President would be the best choice for Armenia. It is impossible for their meaningless and empty dreams to come true. They have no chance left, justice is on Azerbaijan’s side, and so is military power. Therefore, the only way out is to come to peace under the conditions determined by the victorious Azerbaijan. Armenians living in Karabakh should accept Azerbaijani citizenship and get rid of separatism. They should understand that they live on the territory of Azerbaijan and the flag of Azerbaijan should be on their heads. Otherwise, as stated by our President, they should find another place to live,” Sattar Mohbaliyev added.
