On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, an event was held at the “Absheron” sanatorium of Azerbaijan “Kurort” Closed Joint Stock Company.
At the event, the head of the Organization Department of the Joint Stock Company, Kübra Jabbarova, spoke about some aspects of the life and political activities of the National Leader.
He proudly said that he had the chance to meet Heydar Aliyev several times and have a personal conversation. He still cannot forget the impressions he got from those conversations.
Kubra Jabbarova recalled the beginning of the 90s of the last century.She said that despite the economic decline, chaos, and financial difficulties, Heydar Aliyev managed to ensure the restoration and development of all areas.
Deputy Chairman of ATUC, president of “Kurort” GSC Abil Agasiyev said in his speech that today we are citizens of independent, free, economically and militarily strong Azerbaijan, we owe to national leader Heydar Aliyev and his victorious successor Mr. Ilham Aliyev: “today’s happy days are the fruit of hard work and sleepless nights of the Great Leader. He loved his people very much. He had spent his entire conscious life with his beloved people. It was no coincidence that after coming to power for the 2nd time on the insistence of the people, he said: “I will devote the rest of my life to serving my people.” A lifetime was enough for a people to live forever. Today, with the light of that life, we are moving forward with confidence and inspiration towards the eternal future.”
He emphasized that since 1969, the establishment of a large-scale resort-sanatorium network has been started in the territory of Azerbaijan: “Many of our resort establishments have received the All-Union status. Every year, thousands of people from the allied republics of the former USSR came to our country for treatment and rest. After Heydar Aliyev’s 2nd return to power, the resort system began to revive.”
Jamaleddin Ismayilov, vice-president of the “Service-Work” Federation of Trade Unions, and Gultekin Suleymanov, chief doctor of the “Shikh” sanatorium, made speeches at the event.
The event continued with the artistic part. Famous singers performed the National Leader’s favorite songs.
At the end, a video was shown about Heydar Aliyev’s meeting with cultural figures, labor collectives, and individual artists.
