“On April 11, 2018, Mr. Ilham Aliyev won the trust of the people of Azerbaijan and was elected the President of the country for the next term. This time, without hesitation, our wise people have shown once again that they accept Mr. Ilham Aliyev as the irreplaceable leader by trusting the administration of their state. With this, the people of Azerbaijan highly appreciated the work done in the past years and declared that they stand by development, progress, security, and a happy future.
Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.
“Let me note that the years 2003-2018 remained a period of great economic development in the history of Azerbaijan. If we look at the statistics, we will see that at that time the gross domestic product increased by 3.2 times, budget revenues by 13.5 times, strategic currency reserves by 26.6 times, foreign trade turnover by 4.6 times, the nominal income of the population by 8.6 times, and the minimum wage by 12.9 times. Of course, this is a short-term success that reflects the economic power of our country. During that period, 1,958,400 new jobs were opened as a result of the work done to ensure employment, the level of unemployment decreased from 9.2 percent to 5 percent, and the level of poverty decreased from 44.7 percent to 5.4 percent. As a result of the work done, the social condition of the population has improved,” said the deputy of the Milli Majlis.
“Our head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has signed the dynamic development of our country in all fields. As a direct result of his hard work and persistent activity, the welfare of our people is constantly increasing, peace and stability have been fully established in our country, and the happy and prosperous life of our citizens has been ensured. We can say with certainty that every representative of our people is proud and proud of mighty Azerbaijan. So, today Azerbaijan is considered the leading state of the region thanks to Mr. Ilham Aliyev’s high management qualities, professionalism, deep political experience. In this geography, no project can be realized without the participation of Azerbaijan, the opinion of our country is definitely taken into account in any issue”, the chairman of ATUC emphasized.
According to him, President Ilham Aliyev’s in-depth knowledge of world politics, his ability to analyze and predict regional and global processes, increases attention to his speeches and initiatives in international tribunes: “Mr. Ilham Aliyev is invited to any regional and international events, regardless of the topic, and the main focus of the discussions is is considered one of its participants, its opinions and suggestions are taken into account at the highest level, and its opinions are highly valued by the international community. Let’s not go too far, the selfless activity of Azerbaijan and its leader as the chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement during the pandemic is one of the topics that will be discussed in the world for many years to come. At that time, the whole world once again witnessed Azerbaijan’s fair position and humane steps.”
“Mr. Ilham Aliyev is one of the rare historical figures who fully fulfills the promises he made to his people and the obligations he undertook. From the first day he was elected as the President, he worked for his people, spoke for their interests in all matters, and did important things for the happiness of every citizen. The peak of the successful activity of our head of state is the liberation of Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh from occupation. With this mission, Mr. Ilham Aliyev changed the course of history, overturned the ugly plans regarding our occupied territories, and showed the whole world what the Azerbaijani people are capable of. Currently, under the direct leadership of our President, landscaping works are being carried out in Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh, and even the “Great Return” program has been launched. We believe that in the near future all residents will return to their ancestral home and continue their happy lives,” Sattar Mohbaliyev said.
