The chess championship dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev has come to an end

On February 6-10, a team and individual chess championship dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in the sports arena of the Sports and Health Club of the Ministry of Emergencies among the institutions of the Ministry.

About 80 employees from a total of 22 teams of the Office and institutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations participated in the championship jointly organized by the dman-health club and the Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The final stage of the championship was watched by Colonel Fuzuli Musayev, the head of the Sports and Health Club of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Major General Baba Salayev, the head of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Mehman Ismayilov, the chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the heads of the institutions represented by the teams participating in the competition. The chief judge of the championship was Fikret Sideifzadeh.

At the closing ceremony of the championship, the National Anthem was first played, and the dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was commemorated with a minute’s silence.

Then the teams and participants who succeeded in the championship were awarded. In the five-day competition, the athletes of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations defeated all their opponents and won the first place in the team standings. The second place in the championship was awarded to the State Agency for Safe Conduct of Work in Industry and Mining Control, and the third place was awarded to the teams of the State Fire Control Service.

Said Adigozalov, an employee of the Crisis Management Center, won the title of champion in individual competitions. Farid Valili, an employee of the Mugan Regional Center, won the second place, and Hikmat Mammadov, an employee of the Aviation detachment, won the third place.

At the end, the winners were presented with trophies, diplomas, medals and valuable gifts.
