The greeting reads:

“On the occasion of February 2 – Youth Day, we sincerely congratulate all the young people of the Republic of Azerbaijan and wish new achievements for the strong progress of our independent state!

National leader Heydar Aliyev always wanted to see the youth of Azerbaijan smart, strong, strong-willed, educated, logical and independent. Of course, with that desire, the great leader signed a decree on the establishment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the country in June 1994.

For nearly 30 years, the number of young people with high intellectual level in science, education, law, sports, socio-economic, culture, art and other fields in the country is increasing and youth is becoming the leading force of our modern society. We are proud that today our young people sing our anthem at the Olympic Games, raise our tricolor flag to the sky with enthusiasm, are closely active in the comprehensive development of our country, and unanimously approve and defend the policy of our head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Today, we can proudly say that the unparalleled victories of Azerbaijani youth are resounding all over the world. The spirit of fighting, patriotism and heroism shown by the young officers and soldiers of our National Army during the 44-day Patriotic War became a real example for the youth of the whole world.

We all, relying on the strength of our brave youth, say aloud once again:

Karabakh is Azerbaijan!

We believe that youth policy in Azerbaijan today is the main and most important component of our independent state. Undoubtedly, our youth will be transformed into an even more vanguard force in the acceleration of the democratic development processes of our modern society and the prosperity of Azerbaijan.

We always support the country’s youth policy, implement important projects with young people and sign goodwill missions.

Young people of Azerbaijan, I congratulate you once again.

Happy holiday!”
