Today, our country is the main participant of all important global events, regardless of the topic and purpose, and actively participates in the discussions. The international initiatives put forward by the head of our state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, are supported at a high level and are clearly taken into account in solving global problems. Also, the President represents our country decently by acting in the interests of the state in the events he participates in. The 53rd meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland was also important for our country. It is known that the Davos Forum plays an important role in the economic life of the world and its influence on international politics is quite large. From this point of view, the Forum is a unique platform in terms of promoting the economic opportunities of our country and the created favorable investment environment.”
Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.
According to him, as in previous years, this time President Ilham Aliyev held a number of effective meetings within the framework of the Forum, he brought the potential of Azerbaijan to the attention of the other parties: “It seems that the world’s leading companies really appreciate the economic power of Azerbaijan and cooperate with our country in this field. they prefer. First of all, it is related to the stability that has been established in our country for many years. Also, a favorable business environment has been formed here, and there are fertile conditions from the point of view of investment. One of the main points is the issue of trust, in which Azerbaijan is one of the most reliable countries. The head of our state respects every signature he signs, his word and deed are the same.”
“President Ilham Aliyev had useful meetings with the heads of state and government of Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, the first vice-president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the executive director of the UN Settlement program. In addition to economic issues, political points were also discussed during the meetings. The head of state brought to the attention of the other party the real facts of the situation in the region, Azerbaijan’s efforts towards the normalization of relations with Armenia, and the events that took place on the Lachin-Khankendi road, and thwarted the false propaganda against our country. It is known that Armenia and some pro-Armenian forces are engaged in disinformation, hiding the real situation in the region. Unfortunately, sometimes there are people who listen to their false propaganda. But our President conveyed the real truth to the world community through the meetings he held within the Forum,” said the MP of the Milli Majlis.
- Mohbaliyev added that the 53rd Davos Forum was successful for our country, it showed Azerbaijan’s growing position in the international world and its role in the development of the world economy.
