An event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Aladdin Taghiyev, Doctor of Agricultural Science, was held at the Scientific and Research Institute of Plant Protection and Technical Crops (SRI PPTC).
The event was attended by Chairman of the Ganja branch of ANAS, Academician Fuad Aliyev, Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture Fuad Mammadov, representatives of higher education institutions, heads of agricultural companies, heads of experimental stations of SRI PPTC, intellectuals and public representatives.
The director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Ibrahim Jafarov, who opened the event with his opening speech, congratulated the anniversary and noted that Aladdin Taghiyev, is the only Doctor of Agricultural Science in the Republic in practical breeding, genetics and seed production of cotton, along with more than 45 years of experience in the field of agricultural science and a researcher with extensive scientific experience.
Academician Fuad Aliyev spoke about the contributions of the breeding scientist to agricultural science and highly appreciated his scientific activity.
Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fuad Mammadov, congratulated the jubilee and presented him with an honorary diploma.
Employees of the Institute spoke at the event and talked about Aladdin Taghiyev’s life and activities and his support to young researchers.
At the event, the senior adviser of Ganja State University, candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Asif Javadov, the Chairman of the municipality of Nizami district of Ganja city Goshgar Mammadov, the heads of experimental stations – Jabrayil Aghayev, Ramis Shukurov, Kahraman Kahramanov, as well as representatives of agricultural companies gave speeches and congratulated the anniversary.
