The Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers continues a series of events in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan. The next zone conference was held in Ganja city under the organization of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers.
The theme of the conference was “AHIK 30: History of the trade union movement and an overview of future prospects”. Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee Mirza Jafarzadeh, Head of the Organization Department Emil Rustamov participated in the event. The event was also attended by the chairmen of Ganja, Kalbajar, Khojaly, Goranboy, Aghdam, Barda, Tartar, Agjabedi, Samukh, Goygol, Dashkasan, Shamkir, Aghstafa, Tovuz district committees and trade union activists. At the conference, a minute’s silence was held in memory of the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Then a video made in connection with the 30th anniversary of AHIK was shown.
Mirza Jafarzadeh, deputy chairman of ATIAHI Republican Committee, Emil Rustamov, head of the Organization Department, Bayram Hajiyev, chairman of Ganja City Committee, and trade union activists spoke at the conference. They talked about the establishment of the trade union movement in Azerbaijan and its historical development path, the work done by the organization to protect the labor, social, economic rights and legal interests of the trade union members.
At the end of the event, honorary degrees were presented to trade union activists in connection with the 30th anniversary of AHIK.
