“The importance of the New Azerbaijan Party in the history of our state and in the life of our people is very great. The rescue of our country from the crisis, the establishment of modern Azerbaijan, the protection of our independence, and the strengthening of our statehood are directly related to the name of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the Party. In the first years of our independence, the severe political crisis in our country put our statehood in serious danger. Named and numbered intellectuals, well-known people, influential personalities who think about the fate of the motherland united around the genius of professional politician Heydar Aliyev, the eldest son of the nation, and created the New Azerbaijan Party in the extremely difficult and turbulent days of Azerbaijan’s history, in a period when the country was undergoing serious trials. This was an expression of the wishes and desires of our people as a whole, a historical event.”
Sattar Mohbaliyev, chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), member of the Milli Majlis, expressed these views to the mass media.
“Perhaps, there has never been such an event in history when a newly formed party has such a great influence as NAP (New Azerbaijan Party) in a short period of time and has won the trust of its people. From the first day of its creation, everyone who thought about the fate of our people joined the ranks of the Party by uniting closely around the Great Leader. The subsequent course of history and processes, the existence of the mighty Azerbaijan we live in today are the results of that wise decision of our people. The New Azerbaijan Party, which has become a national party, has passed a great, honorable and successful path full of achievements. Heydar Aliyev developed the Party, turned it into the leading political force of our society, raised it to the level of the party of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Heydar Aliyev, who was brought back to power by our people, honorably justified all the trust shown to him, returned the people’s trust to him, united them around the state with confidence, thwarted the treacherous plans of our enemies regarding our country, created a modern, strong Azerbaijan and handed it over to reliable, professional hands. Future generations, like us today, will always be grateful to the Great Leader, they will remember his name with respect,” said the MP of the Milli Majlis.
“We can proudly say that under the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, NAP (New Azerbaijan Party), which has turned independent statehood, rule of law, Azerbaijan, creative evolution, civil solidarity and social justice into its principles, has accepted the ideas of building a legal state, a stable and socially oriented economy, and a civil society that loves its homeland and is loyal to its people. He is moving forward successfully by gathering citizens around him. The ranks of the party are gradually expanding, it is gaining the respect and trust of our citizens with the fateful work it has done. Currently, Azerbaijan is considered one of the most important countries in the world due to its economic strength, pace of development, achievements, projects implemented, and the status of a reliable partner. It is enough to say that our country has become a huge energy center of the region and plays an extremely effective role in Europe’s energy supply. Also, the liberation of Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh from Armenian occupation, the glorious Victory is heard all over the world. We believe that under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, greater achievements of our state and people are yet to come,” added the chairman of ATUC.
