A seminar on “Changes in higher education: new trends and applications” was held on November 25 by the rector of TED University of Turkey, Ihsan Sabuncuoglu, on the initiative of the Education Development Fund and with the organizational support of Azerbaijan Technical University.
Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, Vilayat Valiyev, welcomed the guests and discussed “University-industry cooperation”, “Teacher-student relations”, “Quality of teaching and application of researches to industry”, as well as “What will the universities of the future look like?” mentioned that the topics will be touched upon. Later, Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of Education Development Fund, gave detailed information to the participants of the event about the main goals and activities of the Fund.
The seminar was continued based on the presentation of Ihsan Sabuncuoglu.
In the first part of the presentation, the rector spoke on the topic “Global trends and applications in higher education”. In the second part, the research topic “Higher education and university-industry cooperation in Azerbaijan” was discussed.
