A delegation headed by the chairman of KAMU-SEN Confederation, one of Turkey’s influential trade unions, Onder Kahvechi, is visiting Azerbaijan.
On September 22, the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Agil Dadashov and the Chairman of the KAMU-SEN Confederation, Onder Kahvechi, together with their delegations, came to the Alley of Honor and paid tribute to the memory of the National Leader of our people, the architect and founder of the Azerbaijan state, Heydar Aliyev, and laid flowers in front of his grave.
The delegation that came to the Alley of Martyrs paid their respects to the memory of the sons and daughters of the Motherland who were martyred for the independence and territorial integrity of our country, and laid flowers on their graves.
The guests also visited the “Turkish Martyrdom” monument erected in memory of the Turkish soldiers who died in the battles for the liberation of Baku in 1918. Bunches of flowers were placed in front of the monument and respect was paid to the memory of Turkish martyrs.
The delegation watching the view of the city from the highest peak of Baku was informed about the construction works carried out in the capital.
At the meeting with the participation of delegations from both sides, friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey were discussed, as well as relations between the trade unions of the two countries, the work done in the direction of further strengthening of cooperation and future perspectives.
The chairman of ATUC noted that the development of relations with Turkey is an important aspect of our country’s foreign policy even after the election of the head of state Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The fraternal relations between President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have led to further deepening of friendly relations between our countries and bringing our peoples closer together.
S.Mohbaliyev stressed that during the 44-day Patriotic War, the Turkish authorities and people once again showed their solidarity with Azerbaijan to the whole world. At the meeting, the chairman of ATUC spoke about the importance of the Shusha Declaration, the improvement and construction works carried out in Eastern Zangezur and Karabakh, and the close participation of Turkish companies in this process.
