The work done in the field of health of employees working in enterprises and departments was reviewed

The trusted doctors of the Confederation of Azerbaijan Trade Unions, Haji Rasulov, Jalaladdin Hamidov, and the chief technical labor inspector of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of “Azersu”  Bakhtiyar Tagiyev carried out work in the field of health of employees working in enterprises and offices under the jurisdiction of “Azersu” Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC), including medical reviewed the status of the service. Acquaintance with the situation began with the study of the commitments made in the collective tariff agreement concluded for 2022-2024 between the Open Joint-Stock Company and the Republican Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The agreement was very comprehensive, concrete and based on real possibilities. Important measures for the protection of workers’ health and social security were planned. It was noted that It is considered important for employees working in harmful and dangerous working conditions to undergo mandatory initial (at the time of hiring) and periodical medical examinations. Every year, employees must be involved in compulsory insurance against the loss of professional labor capacity as a result of industrial accidents and occupational diseases. First aid should be provided to an employee who has suffered or been injured for any reason at the workplace. If necessary, the victim should be taken to a medical facility immediately. All work areas should be provided with stationary boxes and mobile medical bags containing medicines according to approved norms. A paramedic station should be established in the enterprises or organizations with more than 300 employees in the administrative area, in accordance with the legislation, for workers working in workplaces with harmful and dangerous working conditions, social benefits (additional salary, leave, reduced working day, etc.), as well as preventive meals (milk and other similar products) should be provided. Rest and treatment of employees and their family members should be organized in recreation, sanatorium-resort centers located in the republic and in foreign countries throughout the year…

“Regulation on providing material assistance and allowances to the employees of “Azersu” OJSC” was approved in a new edition. The regulations define the terms and scope of providing financial assistance and allowances. In the event of the death of an employee, one of the employee’s family members (spouse, father, mother, brother) in the amount of 400 manats, in the event of the death of an employee’s family member (spouse, father, mother, dependent child and incapacitated sister, brother) in the amount of 200 manats, in the event of the death of an employee (if both parents are employees of the Company, only one) in the amount of 100 manats for each newly born child, in the amount of 200 manats for starting a family for the first time,

Among the employees of Jeyranbatan Water Supply Department, 5 people were injured in the First Karabakh War, and 1 person was injured in the Second Karabakh War, and they use the provided privileges.

In other cases, employees and their family members may be given financial assistance in the amount determined by the Chairman of the Company.

All of the inspected institutions have social and household rooms equipped at a high level, dining rooms, showers, and sanitary facilities. Employees undergo a medical examination on time (in the order and terms established in the Board decision No. 46 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 13, 2012).

In the Jeyranbatan Water Supply Department, all conditions have been created to protect the health of employees. In the territory of the enterprise, which is 54 ha, a wide forest strip has been built, there is a restaurant. Vehicles are allocated for workers to come and go to work. It was recommended to the management to restore the medical personnel staff unit, taking into account the number of employees (668 people), the number of people working in harmful fields (145 people) and the number of working disabled people (21 people). There is a hygiene room for women.

50% of the food expenses of the staff of “Azersu” OJSC is paid by the Republican Committee of the trade union.

At the same time, the Republican Committee undertook to pay the tuition fee of one of the outstanding students of Azerbaijan Medical University. The Republican Committee provides material and moral assistance to persons who have undergone serious surgical operations and have lost their ability to work for a long time, based on their requests.

Employees who need it are provided with referrals to sanatorium-resort or recreation center. Financial assistance is provided to low-income families based on their requests (both by the Republican Committee and the first trade union committees).

First aid kits were distributed to all the inspected institutions, and the expiration date of medicines, dressing materials and disinfectants is observed.

In all the inspected enterprises, public control commissions for the protection of workers’ health have been established under the trade union committee, their activity is satisfactory.

Instructional assistance and recommendations were provided in the field of workers’ health protection.
