On July 8, under the organization of the Republican Committee (RC) of the Trade Union of Culture Workers, in the Khachmaz District Museum of History and Geography, printed by ATUC with the support of the ILO, “The potential of the ATUC for effective participation in the programs and processes of the ILO on sustainable development” strengthening” and “Report for the period of review and evaluation of the measures taken in the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030” was presented.
At the presentation ceremony, Namig Huseynov, Head of the Analytical Research Department of Workers’ Cultural and Household Problems of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, Chingiz Ibrahimov, Head of the Organizational Department of the Republican Committee of Trade Unions of Culture Workers, employee of the Khachmaz Regional Media Office, Cultural Workers Trade Unions of Khachmaz, Guba, Gusar, Shabran and Siyazan chairmen and activists of district committees participated.
First, the dear memory of our officers and soldiers who died for the territorial integrity of our Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
N.Huseynov conveyed greetings of ATUC chairman, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev to the participants and spoke about the role of Azerbaijan trade unions in the life of the country, the works done and the projects implemented.
Then, in connection with the presentation of the book, Ch. Ibrahimov gave information about the 17 goals of sustainable development, national measures and progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. According to him, the provision of sustainable social development is one of the important priorities set by the government of Azerbaijan and successfully implemented. In this direction, complementary strategic projects and socio-economic programs are implemented in Azerbaijan. It is as a result of this that the continuous socio-economic development of our country is ensured.
At the end, the questions of the participants were answered and a broad exchange of ideas was held.
