The presentation of the book “Report for the period of review and evaluation of the measures taken in the Republic of Azerbaijan to implement the Sustainable Development Goals until 2030” published by the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC) with the support of the International Labor Organization (ILO) was held in Zagatala district.
The chairmen of the trade union committees of Balakan, Gakh, Sheki, Oguz telecommunications hubs and postal branches also participated in the presentation ceremony organized by the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Transport, Communication and High Technology Workers.
The employees of the Republican Committee, who made a speech, conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of ATUC, MP of the Milli Majlis, Sattar Mohbaliyev, to the participants of the event and spoke about the role of Azerbaijani trade unions in the life of the country, the work done by ATUC, implemented projects, as well as the activities of the committee in the field.
It was stated that ensuring sustainable social development is one of the important priorities set by the government of Azerbaijan and successfully implemented. This is an indication that complementary strategic projects and socio-economic programs are implemented in Azerbaijan. Thus, sustainable socio-economic development of the country is ensured.
