On June 24, the event “Presentation of recommendations for trade union organizations on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals” was held in Kepaz municipality of Ganja city jointly with the International Labor Organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
The event was attended by Elkhan Shahverdiyev, specialist of the Organizational Affairs and Information Department of the ATUC, Yashar Abdullayev, Chairman of Kepaz municipality of Ganja, Mahammad Karimov, legal inspector of the Trade Union Republican Committee of Municipal Workers, Iman Abdiyev, teacher of the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations, Nizami district municipality of Ganja, District committees of Gazakh, Tovuz and Shamkir municipalities, heads of trade union organizations, as well as trade union activists.
During the speech, specialist of the Organizational Affairs and Information Department of the ATUC, Elkhan Shahverdiyev, conveyed the greetings of ATUC Chairman, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev and talked about the role of trade unions of Azerbaijan in the life of the country, the work done, and the implemented projects.
Speakers also spoke about the role of trade unions in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The questions of the participants were also answered at the event.
