The Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan continues a series of events dedicated to the 99th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The Chess Tournament held by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Joint Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the Azerbaijan Chess Federation is one of a series of events. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation Faig Hasanov and Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Fuad Mammadov commemorated the great leader with deep respect and wished success to the participants.
The tournament was attended by employees of the state Seed Fund, Agro procurement and supply OJSC, agrarian Science Center, Agrarian Services Agency, Agroserviz OJSC, Agrarian Research Center, Agrarian Insurance Fund, as well as employees of Astara, Gabala, Gobustan, Khachmaz, Jabrayil State Agrarian Development Centers.
In the two-day competition, Shirinov Tagi from Astara region took the 1st place, Iman Tanriverdiyev took the 2nd place, and Orkhan Demirli from Gabala region took the 3rd place. The winners were awarded trophies, medals and cash prizes.
