“I sincerely congratulate our Muzaffar people, including each member of trade unions, as well as our compatriots living far away from home on the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day, and wish good days and love, prosperity, prosperity, peace and progress to our homeland.
On May 28, 1918, our people established the first democratic republic in the Muslim East – the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
Although this Republic lived a short life, the idea of independence, which it established in its minds, was not erased from the memory. Seventy years later, on November 17, 1990, for the first time, under the chairmanship of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Nakhchivan Parliament again raised the tricolor flag of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic as the state flag. On October 18, 1991, the dream of independence, which the Azerbaijani people cherished in their hearts, came true again. Today, independent Azerbaijan is experiencing the most developed glorious period in its history, and the happy life of our people has been ensured.
Our people are united like an iron fist around their state and its leader, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and are moving forward with confidence towards a greater and brighter future. We believe that thanks to our unity, our independence will last forever and our state will become even stronger.
I once again cordially congratulate the victorious citizens of Azerbaijan, led by our esteemed President Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of Independence Day.
Happy holiday. “
