On February 9, the Permanent Representation of Nakhchivan in Baku hosted a round table on “The autonomy of Nakhchivan is a historic achievement” dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
At first, the participants of the event observed a moment of silence in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the sons of the Fatherland who died for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and expressed their deep respect and esteem to the great leader and all our martyrs.
Then a video on the history of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was shown.
At the event, the head of the permanent mission Bakhtiyar Asgarov spoke about the complex and difficult, but also glorious historical path of development of Nakhchivan, which has an ancient, rich, centuries-old history, culture, statehood traditions and is called the “Gateway to the East”.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, MP Sattar Mohbaliyev also spoke at the event. He spoke about the development of Nakhchivan despite the blockade of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the development of the modern city of Nakhchivan in all spheres thanks to the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev.
