A seminar on “Formation of economic recovery plans – the role of trade unions in the face of new challenges” was organized by the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (ATUC) with the support of the International Labor Organization.
The seminar was attended by about 30 active members of Azerbaijani trade unions and ATUC experts.
Ali Jafarov, Deputy Director of the Organization and Information Department of the ATUC, made an introductory speech at the event. Then TuralSuleymanov, a specialist of the organization, made a report on the subject.In his speech, he spoke about the consequences of the pandemic, preventive measures taken in our country against the disease, the reasons for our country’s failure in this test, sustainable economic development in our country.
Then the speakers – ATUC Chief Specialist ArifIbrahimov, ATUC Specialist GaraAgayev, Chief of Staff of the Republican Committee of Trade Unions of Public Administration and Public Service Workers ShaigAhmadov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Institute of Economics of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Pasha Tanriverdi, YagutAlasgarova, chairman of the Salyan district committee of the Free Workers ‘Union, IsmayilIsmayilov, secretary of the Workers’ Union of Local Industry and Public Utilities, and others shared their views on the topic.
