The rich and productive activity of Lydia Rasulova in 1981-1988, who always worked with dignity in high and responsible positions, is connected with the trade unions of Azerbaijan. During this period, he held a more responsible position as chairman of the Council of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan.
Her tenure was a period of trade union renaissance and development. Rasulova has left a deep mark on the history of trade unions as a leader who protects her socio-economic interests and helps solve their problems. It is no coincidence that the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev highly appreciated the activity of Lydia Rasulova and characterized her as an experienced staff, a highly intelligent person, a man of great morality.
The expansion and reconstruction of the sanatorium-resort system subordinated to the trade unions coincides with the period when Mrs. Lydia headed the Trade Union Council. She also made an invaluable contribution to the organization of recreation and health of employees, as well as to improving occupational safety.
The work of L.Rasulova, an active participant in the political and social life of the republic, elected to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR and Azerbaijan of several convocations, has always been highly valued by the state and awarded high orders and medals of the country.
We can call L.Rasulova’s activity in the trade union a school: a school of principle and transparency. He was always uncompromising in the face of negative developments. His large-scale reforms in the trade union system have played an important role in strengthening the organization’s image.
Azerbaijani trade unions never forget her services and still use her experience. During the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of trade unions in Azerbaijan in 2005, Lydia Rasulova was awarded the medal “100th anniversary of the trade unions of Azerbaijan” established for this purpose.
Mrs. Lydia’s meaningful and honorable activity will always be an example for today’s and future generations, her experience will be studied.
