The awarding of President Ilham Aliyev with the “Supreme Order of the Turkic World” at the VIII Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Istanbul on November 12 is a high assessment of the activities of the head of state. This shows the strategic nature and international scale of his work, effective policy. We can proudly say that President Ilham Aliyev has made significant contributions to the rapprochement and organization of Turkic-speaking countries, the expansion of their activities, the growth of their prestige and ranks. This shows the diplomatic skills and experience of the head of state, his great organizational skills. His useful work in the life of the organization is always appreciated by member states”.
This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mohbaliyev.
According to him, the liberation of East Zangazur and Karabakh has significantly increased Azerbaijan’s prestige both in the Turkic states and in the international arena. The heroism shown by the Azerbaijani Army for 44 days is important for the whole Turkic world. As a result of the victory, favorable conditions were created for the restoration of physical ties connecting the Turkic states. The Zangazur Corridor is an important project that will connect the Turkic states, Southeast and Central Asia and Europe. Azerbaijan has also created new conditions in the region that promise prosperity, peace, tranquility and stability. In addition, separatism, which disrupts the world order and threatens stability, has been adequately addressed.
The MP noted that the VIII Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was marked by a number of important decisions: Important decisions show the growing prestige of the organization. The Organization of Turkic States is already fulfilling the function of an international organization that promises great prospects and plays an important role in world politics. The organization will continue to create comprehensive conditions for strengthening the unity of the Turkic peoples, strengthening political, economic and trade ties, expanding investment opportunities, developing mutual trust and beneficial cooperation.
