“Thanks to the resolute policy of the Supreme Commander, the unshakable unity of the Azerbaijani people and the heroism of our invincible Army, our brilliant victory is leading us to further success. Our dreams, which seemed utopian in time, are now real. Reconstruction work in our liberated territories continues rapidly and efficiently. A number of major projects have already been completed. Yesterday, the whole world witnessed the opening of Fizuli International Airport, which is called the air gate of Karabakh. The construction of such airport, which fully meets modern requirements in a short period – just in 8 months, is a clear example of the sustainable economic power of our state. This airport will turn the region into a transport and logistics center, increase tourism potential and stimulate economic development.”
This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), Member of Parliament Sattar Mohbaliyev.
According to him, the construction of an international airport in Karabakh is one of the successful results of our victory in the Great Patriotic War: “The participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the opening ceremony shows the historical importance of this event. Turkey and Azerbaijan have always stood by each other. Today, relations with the brother country in all areas are developing steadily, moving to a qualitatively new level. From the first hours of the war, the Turkish President expressed his solidarity with Azerbaijan. This was a message to Armenia’s supporters who claim to interfere in Azerbaijan’s justice. All state structures of the brotherly country have shown great determination in all spheres for the victory of Azerbaijan. Despite international pressure, they did not back down from their position of fraternal support. The participation of the leader of the brother country in the opening ceremony, which took place yesterday, is a logical continuation of this solidarity.
The Member of Parliament said that The Zangazur corridor – Horadiz-Jabrail-Zangilan-Agband highway, founded by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, will be important for all countries in the region, along with the region, and will make an important contribution to the development of economic relations.
