Sometimes our people have placed greater responsibility on the leaders they have elected, and have given them tasks that can be difficult to overcome. One of those leaders is the historical strategist Heydar Aliyev, who became the great leader of the people, the national leader, created a new state, brought it to the ranks of states, and gave his people a happy and prosperous life. The services of the great leader to the people of Azerbaijan are obvious. Every Azerbaijani feels these services in his life. It is impossible to enumerate these services. The success of Azerbaijan since 2003 is due to the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Mohbaliyev noted that as a result of the implementation of international projects, Azerbaijan has an important place in ensuring energy security in the world and acts as a leading force in the Southern Gas Corridor project: “The construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which will connect Asia with Europe, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which will bring Azerbaijani oil directly to the world market, is an example of our country’s growing economic power. As a result of Ilham Aliyev’s progressive political activity, the country’s foreign exchange reserves, as well as the volume of investments in Azerbaijan have increased. Thanks to the implemented state programs, development processes in the regions have been accelerated, specific programs in various areas of agriculture have been implemented, unemployment and poverty have fallen sharply, and more than 2 million new jobs have been created.
The chairman of the confederation said that thanks to the political will of President Ilham Aliyev, a well-thought-out and thoroughly analyzed political strategy, and the skills of leadership, our sovereign rights were restored throughout Azerbaijan. For almost 30 years, our occupied lands were liberated with a counterattack and we became a victorious state. Our country appeared to the whole world in a new image, the world rediscovered Azerbaijan as a powerful state.
The ATUC chairman stressed that the restoration of our territorial integrity is the basis of President Ilham Aliyev’s political line. According to him, our greater successes and achievements are still ahead: “I believe that as a nation, we will continue to unite closely around Mr. President and witness all our future successes.”
