A meeting of the Supervisory Board of the DOST Agency was held

A meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Sustainable and Operational Social Security Agency (DOST Agency) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population was held.

Member of the Supervisory Board, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) Sattar Mohbaliyev attended the meeting.

Chairman of the Council, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev spoke about the activities of the DOST Agency and DOST Centers established by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated August 9, 2018.

He stressed that the DOST concept, initiated by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, allows for the provision of public social services in an efficient, fully transparent and modern, innovative and polite manner.

It was noted that since May 2019, the DOST Agency and then 5 DOST centers have been opened, covering all districts of the capital and Absheron district with DOST services. In the past period, 537,000 citizens were served in these centers, where 155 services were provided, and the level of satisfaction of citizens with these services is 98.2%.

They spoke about the School of Inclusive Art, established within the project “Ensuring the rights and welfare of women with disabilities and veterans of the Karabakh war” jointly implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, UN Development Program and the UN Population Fund.

It was noted that the school, located in the Baku DOST Center No. 4, teaches students with disabilities the knowledge and skills of painting, weaving and wood carving, along with students without disabilities.

In general, it is planned to expand the DOST centers, which support inclusive development and creativity, to increase the creative opportunities of people with disabilities and to introduce them to society.

For this purpose, it was decided to establish a DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity at the DOST Agency.
