I heartily congratulate you and all employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Republic on July 2-Police Day. The special role of the internal affairs bodies in protecting the security, stability and peace of the country’s population is undeniable. After the restoration of our independence, the re-formation of internal affairs bodies is associated with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Today, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, reliable steps have been taken to protect our statehood, national interests and ensure the security of our citizens at a high level. The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with taking a principled position in the fight against crime, are at the forefront of protecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity and statehood of Azerbaijan. In the 44-Day War, the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out the honorable mission, showed heroism and gave martyrdom to the enemy. At present, the personnel of the Internal Troops are working together with the police officers in the liberated lands. We are confident that under your leadership the employees of the internal affairs bodies will continue to maintain stability and public order in our country and successfully continue their activities in the direction of protecting the legitimate interests of our citizens.Once again I congratulate you on your professional holiday on behalf of numerous trade union members and wish you success in your work.
