“President Ilham Aliyev is one of the few world leaders who, as the head of state, has fulfilled all the promises he made to his people and fulfilled all his obligations with dignity.
He said with confidence that from the day he was elected President, our occupied lands would be liberated, he fought for a long time without saying he was tired, and despite all the pressures and difficulties, he faithfully fulfilled his promise. The head of state also promised his people that the territories would be reconstructed and restored. The President’s visit to the Aghdam region on May 28 once again showed that landscaping work is already underway in the liberated areas. I want to emphasize one issue. The coronavirus paralyzed the whole world. There is no country that does not face the consequences of the pandemic, and the consequences have spread to all areas. Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries in the fight against the pandemic. In this situation, we faced such enemy provocations, launched counter-offensive operations for the security of our state and liberated our occupied lands. What happened next? In a short time, we began construction work in the occupied territories for 30 years. If we analyze each of these issues, we will see that all this is possible thanks to a strong state, strong government, strong economy, unshakable unity and a strong leader. We live in such a great history, and every representative of our people is proud of our powerful state and considers himself happy. ”
This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), MP Sattar Mohbaliyev.
“During the President’s visit to Agdam, we once again witnessed that the reconstruction work in all liberated areas is being carried out in a thoughtful manner, in accordance with the approved master plan, in consultation with residents and in an approved manner. This is a sign of the President’s systematic, neat work and respect for the opinion of the people. The acquaintance with the General Plan of Aghdam showed that the city’s infrastructure will be completely restored. The foundation of School No. 1, which will be built in accordance with modern requirements with a history of 140 years, is the President’s assessment of education, science and knowledge as a special and important field in the life of the country. Because at the root of all successes are young professionals educated in accordance with the requirements of the time, which is a priority in our country. Also, the social situation of the residents who will return to these areas is one of the most important points. The main condition for this is the availability of jobs. Taking this into account, the construction of the Aghdam Industrial Park and its large area of about 200 hectares indicates that it will provide employment for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people in the future. The construction of the Barda-Agdam highway, as well as the Barda-Agdam railway, which will be commissioned in the near future, will create conditions for the movement of people and will serve the socio-economic development of the region. The restoration of the building complex, the creation of the Museum of Occupation and Victory, the construction of a large 125-hectare forest strip inside the city, as well as the planned lake, canals and bridges will impress the residents and tourists. All this will be favorable for the development of neighboring regions that are not under occupation and will cover the entire region. “All these projects will be based on the concept of ‘smart city’,” Mohbaliyev said.
According to Mohbaliyev, everything is already in place: “As Mr. President said, we are turning these areas into a paradise. We started the construction work immediately after the expulsion of the enemy from the territories and are continuing rapidly. Active work is underway on the Master Plans of Shusha, Fizuli, Jabrayil and other cities. In the near future, indeed, we will see a land that has been transformed from a ruin into a paradise, and those who return will live forever and happily. But what did the Armenians do !? During the 30-year occupation, they did not build a single bird roof, destroyed, stole, mined the territory, and exploited the natural resources spontaneously without seeing them. All this reveals the savage nature of the Armenians and demonstrates their vandalism to the whole world.
“These successes are based on a strong and independent state, the political will of its leader, professionalism, determination, love for his land, homeland and people. It is on these foundations that we have achieved today’s strong Azerbaijan, which is already a leader in the region. Armenia’s occupation policy has turned it into a quagmire, and due to the lack of statehood traditions, they have not been able to act independently and make independent decisions over the years. Therefore, at every step, they beg for help from the great powers.
